    • There are two basic Launch Pad designs. One for Road Bikes and one for MTB.

MTB: The stand is designed to accommodate 26” or 29” wheel sizes with tyre width between 1.8” and 2.3” (Simply put, the gap where the wheel fits into the stand is 65mm wide. A wider tyre will not fit)

Road: The stand is designed to accommodate 700C through 650C rims with tyre width not larger than 30mm (Simply put, the gap where the wheel fits into the stand is 30mm wide. A wider tyre will not fit)

If your bike wheels and tyres are beyond above parameters, let us know and we’ll custom size the stand accordingly.

    • In the upright position, the lower end of the bikes seat post fits on top of the stand support. If you have seat post attachments such as bottle or tool cages attached, it might cause a hinderance. Let us know of this or email a picture of the bikes rear end to ascertain if the stand is feasible for your bike configuration.
  • Assembly & Usage instructions

    • Find the video under the product images or here https://youtu.be/PEuqV8IShjg
    • Some additional notes to the video:

    Assembly

You will notice some small round indents on the vertical riser stem (The part on which the bikes seatpost rests) These were made during quality testing. The riser bolt should only be tightened by hand. No need to overtighten – only a small amount of pressure is required to tighten the stem sufficiently.

Make sure the back plate screws enter the pilot holes. If not, they will make their own holes if enough force is applied and will most probably crack the side panels.

The rubbers on the stem and footings are of high-quality industrial grade. They will however leave scuff marks if they come in contact with porous surfaces, especially the wood of the stand. It is advisable to remove the protective plastic layer only after stand is assembled.

The stand is intended for use on flat FIRM surfaces. On surfaces such as grass it will keel over. Should you require the stand to be used on unstable surfaces, allow us to custom adjust the footrests accordingly.

    The strap

The strap is optional…but highly recommended to avoid the bars swinging over and bouncing against your nut when positioning the bike vertically. Where bikes are stacked tight, loosening the strap slightly will allow for angled handlebars, enabling easier inter-bike management. (A 45degree angle of dangle allows for tiger tight stacking)

Attach the strap before swinging to the vertical.

    Vertical storage

Some folks have an issue with storing bikes vertically with regards to hydraulic brakes. Do your research and make up your own mind. End of the day, if your brakes have been properly bled, you will not have any issues. If they become mushy after vertical storage, you need to get them bled properly pronto. If you do not like the idea of only the back wheel handling all the weight while vertically stowed, bear in mind that the riser takes a significant load off via the seat post contact. (Not to mention the weight of your bum while riding)

    Cleaning & Maintenance

The inside of the stand is varnished while the outside has a protective layer of wood oil. Cleaning with a damp rag will not tarnish any components. Your stand will appreciate a once yearly treatment with any wood oil, but there’s no real need if it is used indoors as intended. No maintenance required.

These stands were made by hand with love and care. I hope that you will remain satisfied for many many years.
